Power Generation Castables
Christy Refractories manufactures its own line of power generation castables. Our castables range from conventional castables to ultra low cement castables and are used in the production of power in multiple applications. Our castables are manufactured out of high purity calcium aluminate cement and high quality aggregates. Our mixes can be custom formulated to enhance your specific desired properties. Whether you are interested in high hot strengths, high abrasion resistance, or better thermal conductivity, we can recommend or design a mix for your power generation castables application. We can also design power generation castables for specific placement methods to match what you need. Commonly castables are used with a vibratory placement method, but we offer several different pumpable products as well. We commonly sell the following non ferrous castables to our customers:Christy Cast SC 85 - Christy Cast SC 85 is a silicon carbide based low cement castable designed for excellent abrasion resistance.
Christy Cast 45 L - Christy Cast 45 L is a 45% alumina, flint clay based, low cement castable.
Christy Cast 50 L - Christy Cast 50 L is a 50% alumina, mullite based, low cement castable.
Christy Cast 60 L - Christy Cast 60 L is a 60% alumina, low cement castable.
Christy Cast 60 L P - Christy Cast 60 L P is a pumpable, 60% alumina, mullite based, low cement castable.
Christy Cast 70 L - Christy Cast 70 L is a 70% alumina, mullite based, low cement castable.
