Insulating Fire Brick
The Christy Refractories Company offers a complete line of high temperature insulating fire brick (IFB). Our IFB meets or exceeds industry standards at very competitive prices. They can be used as a hot face lining directly exposed to the heat or as back-up insulation behind other refractories. They can be used in furnaces, flues, kilns and other high temperature industrial equipment. Our IFB are soft and light in weight and are designed in a way that they can stop heat. They provide excellent insulation and low conduction of heat. IFB can be easily cut with a saw or drill bit to fit your size requirements.
Insulating fire brick comes in a variety of shapes and sizes for use in applications from 2000°F (1100°C) to 3200°F (1760°C). Temperature use limits should be considered along with other properties in choosing the correct insulating fire brick for your application.
